ANDY WADY: GETTING TO Grasp YOUR TEAM AT LANCASTER

We talk to Set Fleet Director Andy Wady hither his personal journey to Lexus and Toyota, and the batch’s expertise when it comes to fleet and work vehicles.

1. Can you give us a brief description of your automotive upbringing please?

I started in the automotive sector upright over 16 years ago when I joined Ford Motor Comrades, working closely with a number of dealers on province improvement. I then moved internally to grow a rental account manager, which I indeed enjoyed and was my first experience of the fleet hustle. Over the next couple of years I consumed time at BMW, Audi, and Citroen in a number of convoy positions. I was then given the opportunity to affect out of the manufacturer side of the business and across to the retailer side three and a half years ago, when Jardine created a new Speedy Director role to head up the entire convoy operation across all of the brands.

2. What was appealing around Jardine?

The role with Jardine was specifically interesting as it was a new position for the group and underlined their taste for to develop their existing fleet charge, which they saw as a core part of their total strategy to grow. As an organisation Jardine interested me because they are a remarkably large financially secure conglomerate with a extensive history reaching all the way back to the 1800s, and entertain large automotive operations across the planet. However, ultimately they remain a kinfolk run organisation that is focused on long duration growth and developing businesses that are considered leaders in their different fields. The Fleet Director role gave me an occasion to work on the retailer side of the business while retaining my artiste fleet knowledge from previous roles.

3. What is it upon Lancaster and Jardine that appeals to speedy customers?

Jardine has been supplying husky numbers of fleet cars for many years to our guy base which means that we keep a deep understanding of the marketplace and specifically nimble customers’ needs and demands. Many of our naval task force team have been with the assembly for more than ten years, so we have a lasting and well experienced team which customers surely like. The group supplied over 12,000 swift units last year and we are sole supplier of more than one brand name to many of our customers. This means that we are clever to reduce their number of suppliers, renovate their buying power with us and pass over them greater

control of their purchasing.

4. Which particular models from Toyota and Lexus are you hyster about at the moment?

In terms of Toyota we are seeing correct demand across the model range, in all events the key models are Aygo and Auris on the car side and Hilux remains a ruling player within the commercial market. For Lexus, the IS remains the essence fleet car but the recent arrival of the NX has been altogether positive in terms of widening the appeal of the label to company car drivers. The ongoing focus on the locale, fuel economy and CO2 means that both ranges are well enough positioned to take advantage as they proposal a wide range of hybrid vehicles and a expressively established reputation for reliability.

5. In your sentiment, what does the future hold for Jardine and the naval task force division?

I feel really positive ar 2016 and beyond. Our fleet division has continued to broaden rapidly over the last couple of years with a 15% bourgeon in 2015 alone. The brands we represent as a platoon are outperforming the overall market and we expect this to tend to continue. We are forecasting that the overall squadron market will remain buoyant and we see lots of cultivation opportunity specifically within the SME area of the merchandise. We are well placed to take advantage of with this thanks to the investment we own made in additional Local Business Expansion Managers within our Toyota and Lexus businesses.
