New spy shots take pleasure in the 2017 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder almost without camouflage

The upcoming Spyder-badged interpretation of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been spied on the roads again, this spell with very little in the way of disguise as the track-bred supercar nears casting.

Featuring orange paint and matching brake calipers, the drop-top test mule also bares what crop to be Italian flag stripes along the bottom edge of the doors.

The latest spy shots also give us a much clearer view of the impressive aero package, with aerodynamic productivity and active aero delivering huge performance gains. This goes a great way to explaining how the coupe-version of the 5.2-litre, V10 powered, 631bhp supercar became the forming vehicle Nurburgring lap record holder before being ousted by the NextEV NIO EP9.

With a laptime of 6:52.01s, the Huracan Performance coupe had knocked the Porsche 918 Spyder off the top measure of the ‘Green Hell’ leaderboard earlier this year, beating the Porsche compound hypercar by just under five seconds.

The Huracan Performante Spyder last wishes as probably be a little slower on track – its fabric hood will likely snowball drag, while further chassis strengthening to compensate for the lack of a fixed roof liking increase weight. However, it shouldn’t lag too far behind the 2.9 second 0-62mph bound and 202mph top speed of its coupe sibling.

It will cost more though – a importance over the £210,000 price of the coupe should mean the Huracan Performante Spyder costs here £230,000 when it arrives later this year.

What do you make of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder? Would you decide the coupe instead? Let us know in the comments!
