All-original replacement E-type body panels launched

More than five decades post-launch, the iconic E-type is still cherished; Jaguar Heritage has reintroduced 30 all-original replacement E-type body panels to its parts catalogue to maintain this classic sports car’s prestige and to safeguard the brand’s heritage, maintaining originality and enabling the precious E-type to continue to be relished for many years to come.

By digitally 3D scanning the original E-type and transferring these highly detailed scans into CAD, Jaguar Heritage was able create a virtual model of the whole car in exact dimensions, ensuring perfect panel alignment to within a fraction of a millimetre and producing a complete and true rendition of the iconic car to world-class quality.

Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and innovation, complete sets of all-original body panels for the Series 1 Jaguar E-type are now available to order from Jaguar Heritage Parts through Jaguar’s global sales network. Selected parts of Series 2 and 3 E-types are also available.

Tim Hannig, Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Director, said: ‘We’ve taken huge steps to ensure that we are now providing the highest quality E-type panels on the market. This has been achieved using the original factory drawings and designs of the E-type, combined with state-of-the-art new tooling. In fact, you could say that our customers are now able to buy panels even better than the originals.’

Warrantied servicing and restoration services are available for all classic Jaguar models, including E-type, at Jaguar’s Heritage workshop at Browns Lane in Coventry, plus a wide-ranging catalogue of over 30,000+ spare and replacement parts are available for a range of Heritage models that are 10 years or more out of production.
