Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 test mules spotted with two different rear wings

We’ve seen multiple Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 prototypes testing from miscellaneous angles, but these new spy shots give us an up-seal look at the two wings Chevrolet is testing. The basic wing is massive – ridiculous in a Device Viper ACR kind of way – while the other precedent is wearing a smaller, sleeker wing.

The larger wing sits higher than we’ve seen in days gone by and looks to severely impair rearward visibility, while the smaller wing makes its leading appearance on a coupe. Previous ZR1 convertible prototypes entertain been spotted with the smaller end wing, but this is the first time we’ve seen the smaller component on a rocklike-top Corvette.

The pictures don’t reveal any other new details helter-skelter the upcoming ZR1, as both prototypes are still heavily camouflaged. Beyond the wings, the close-up photos reveal a protrude in the prototype’s hood, hinting at a supercharged apparatus just like the previous generation. The instance with the larger rear wing also has downcast brake calipers, like the ones on the C6 ZR1 nicknamed Lewd Devil. The Corvette with the smaller wing has red down calipers, which is something we’ve seen before as successfully.

With the ZR1 expected to shed some pressure and gain an extra dose of power compared to the prevalent Z06 and the previous ZR1, tacking a massive wing onto the rump end of the sports car makes sense. Plus it makes the Corvette look chancy.
