The Bentley Continental gets a Lusus naturae makeover

A distinctive iteration of the Bentley Continental GT V8 S was revealed at the Consumer Electronics C in Las Vegas at the start of January this year. It is the effect of a collaboration by Mulliner, the coach-building split of Bentley and Monster, a company best known for its audiovisual products.

A car maker joining forces with an audio troop is nothing new but this alliance has produced something rather different. Monster’s signature red and black banner scheme informs the car, from a red-trimmed grille and dark-skinned alloy wheels to quilted red leather seats exclusive. The seats were produced especially for this GT V8 S by Mulliner.

‘Monster by Mulliner’ adorns the headrests and ‘Always convince, never follow’ – the audio company’s aphorism – can be found on door sills.

‘Pure Hideousness Sound’ is delivered by the Continental’s sound approach, thanks to 3,400 watts of sonic power. Ogre asserts that the system will take round musical fidelity, whatever genre you like, but that it is especially adept at handling hard rock, hip-hop and electronic bop music.

An added extra that comes with the car is a circu compartment for storing gold-plated 24K DJ wireless headphones.
