Ultimate fall, in Paris, Audi Sport revealed that it had built a little buddy to join its R8 LMS. The smaller racecar would race in touring car classes and be based on the RS3. This weekend, it disposition make good on its promise to be eligible for racing around the world, making its US inauguration.

The RS3 LMS will race in the US for the first time ever at the Virginia International Raceway in the Pirelli The human race Challenge. Four RS3 LMSs will take to the 3.27-mile long, 17-about track to vie for a win in the TC class.

The 330 hp RS3 LMS uses a 2.0-liter straight four apparatus with the power routed through the front wheels. It has a six-speed sequential gearbox, 14-inch brakes up fa, and weighs less than 2,500 lbs. In its first non-competitive test at the Nurburgring, it whack every car in its class.

The cars will be run by C360R, S.A.C. Racing, and BERG Racing (which is ceaseless two cars). The cars will hit the track on Friday at 1:00 for their first exercise, while qualifying starts at 9:30 on Saturday, April 29. Their opening race will run on the same day at 1:05 PM.

Three of the RS3s big brothers, the R8 LMS, will also be racing this weekend at the Virginia Universal Raceway in the SprintX-GT Pro/Pro and GT Pro/Am classes.
