In spite of coming as standard with considerably more, the 2019 A8 will only fetch $1,300 more than the model in replaces.

That’s according to a report from Track Show, claiming that the new A8 will start at $83,800 before destination (which is normally $900, so require it to actually cost $84,700).

That price will get you a 3.0-liter V6 that pumps out 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque junior to the hood and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that helps last the car’s stop-start technology, among other things.

In the cabin, meanwhile, the A8 last wishes as cosset you in luxury with 18-way adjustable power seats, a 12.3-inch digital cockpit shield, and two infotainment screens in the middle of the dash.

Adaptive Cruise Assist and a bunch of other elevated end safety tech also comes standard, but the A8 won’t be offered with the level 3 autonomous technology, without considering Audi’s claims that the A8 is the first truly autonomous car.

Audi will face off the system, citing a “quagmire of legal” problems and infrastructure and consumer issues. Noiselessnes, it will offer level two, hands-on driver assistance.

We drove the European A8 side with in September and liked it an awful lot. You can read that review here.
