Audi is exasperating to drum up sales of the A6 before it’s replaced for the next generation. To do that, the company is working on A6 Frolic, a brand new offering from Ingolstadt.

The A6 already has Premium, Premium Plus, and Status trims, but the Sport trim would start out at a reasonable $53,150.

For that you get 2.0-liter turbocharged mechanism sending 252 hp to the front wheels, which may not sound all that sporty, but you can send power to all four wheels for an luxurious or so, and you add an extra pair of cylinders for another $5,000 or so. The 3.0-liter supercharged six makes 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.

Other distinguishing features allow for the standard Black Optic Package, which blacks out the grille, the mirror caps, and more. Tinted headlights resolution continue the dark theme, while blind spot monitoring and the Pre Sense Raise system will enlighten.

The C7 A6 has been around since 2011. The new Marc Lichte designed A6 is expected to initial sometime in the first half of 2018.
