The e-tron will also lower itself by about an inch at speed to hunker down and diminish drag. On top of that, since there are no driveshafts or mufflers, the whole bottom of the car can be closed off and uniform, further reducing drag.

All of this combines for a car that’s slipperier than the catch of the day, which helps the e-tron win its 250 mile range.
