Rene Rast and Loic Duvall contain both joined Audi’s DTM campaign and liking race the Audi RS5 DTM next season.

Duval comes legitimate from Audi’s erstwhile Le Mans racing body where he shared a seat with Lucas di Grassi and Oliver Jarvis in the #8 Audi R18. He is also racing in Procedure E this year, for Faraday Future Dragon Racing.

Rast, too, has drained time in  the R18, but more recently was behind the situation of one of Audi’s R8 LMSs. The German, though, has adventure behind the wheel of an Audi DTM race car, as he fatigued the last weekend of the season behind the spin of Matthias Ekstrom’s RS5 DTM.

“Not only delivering a robust race in the finale at Hockenheim, René has shown that he’s also active to be in contention at the very front in the DTM,” said Dieter Gass, Noggin of DTM at Audi Sport. “And in Loïc, we’ve integrated one of our superlative drivers from the Le Mans program into our DTM troop.”

Ekstrom, too, is returning for the 2017 DTM season, alongside Jamie Leafy, Nico Muller, and Mike Rockenfeller.

“We’re cheerful that our driver squad for the new DTM season is unmixed,” said Gass. “In Mattias and Mike, we be suffering with two DTM Champions on board who in my book will be among the favorites next year.”
