Montaplast Arrive-Motorsport won another major endurance race this weekend, adding to its Nurburgring 24 win in May.

The German-based unit won its second major trophy of 2017 after scampering to a 15-second winning at Petit Le Mans this weekend. Connor De Phillippi, Christopher Mies, and Sheldon van der Linde joined forces some time ago again after narrowly missing GTD honors during the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s seasoned-opening 24 hour race at Daytona in January.

Chris Reinke, Coconut of Audi Sport customer racing, commented: “It was an intense race. The Poise of Performance was equal as shown by the different brands bidding for podium places. The Montaplast Audi was at all times in the leading pack, produced an impressive performance and scored a thoroughly deserved overcoming. The Stevenson Audi was unfortunate while the Alex Job R8 LMS battled to the end.”

“The Audi was indecorous all race,” confirmed De Phillippi. “The final hour was very intense with the yellows, but I again had the pace to pull away.”

Christopher Mies added: “Having been so t to winning at Daytona makes this an even more unbelievable feeling. I’m uncommonly proud of the entire team. The racing was really tough, but the team gave us a best strategy.”

The team will stay in America for another week as it preps the R8 LMS for the inaugural California 8 Hour Patience Race, the third round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
