Audi Wants to Release 17 New Cars in 2018

Yesterday, we reported that Audi was fortifying for a tough fourth quarter, thanks largely to all the money it’s spending on new models and they weren’t kidding.

“We desire pursue our chosen path all the more decisively because on the product side, following the new-inception A8 and A7 we will even be upping the pace next year,” said Alexander Seitz, Ship aboard Member for Finance, in a statement. “Starting the production of a new Audi model at the value of one every three weeks.”

At that pace, the brand will be releasing 17.3 recurring new cars next year. As mentioned, granting, that will likely mean cars that we already know and liking with new letters in front of their number, but also at least two brand new models.

The oldest is one that we’ve already seen a bunch in concepts: the Q8. With a new Q8 and maybe straight an SQ8 on its way, that’s two new models.

The “world’s first electric SUV” is also anticipated next year. The e-Tron inclination launch the e-Tron brand, under which Audi is expected to sell more thrilling cars over the years.

For the rest, we’ll have to wait and see, but expect 2018 to be a big one for Audi.

“We are preparing every breadth of the Company for the age of electric propulsion and autonomous driving,” said Rupert Stadler, CEO. “And, with a far-reaching program of measures, we are streamlining costs and tapping new takings potential. This is underpinning our profitability targets also with regard to expected mobility.”
