With just 21 more sales in October 2016 than October 2015, Audi set another monthly record in October, its 70th straight. With that, sales to date for 2016 rise 2.9 percent over 2015.

“We are well-positioned going into the holidays and our upcoming Season of Audi sales event,” said Mark Del Rosso, chief operating officer, Audi of America. “Thanks to the enthusiasm of our dealers and the success of our product strategy, 2016 should go down as another record year. The new A4 and Q7 are helping us win in the face of a tightening premium market and position us well for continued growth in 2017.”

The A4 continued on its market defying trajectory, selling 33%  more in October 2016 than it did in October 2015. Sales of the Q7, meanwhile, rose 32%. The TT (+23%), the allroad (+20%), and the R8 (+260%) all helped, too.

The A3, A5, and A7 though were all down between 20% and 40%. Despite also seeing a sales drop ahead of its update, the Q5 remained Audi’s best seller, with more than 3,700 sold.
