Audi Recalls 1.2 Million 2.0L Vehicles for Fire Risk

More than a million Audis are being recalled worldwide because of a question in the electric coolant pumps that could cause a fire.

The A4 (2013-2016), A5 (2013-2017), A6 (2012-2015), and Q5 (2013-2017) are all covered by the remembering and all have 2.0-liter turbocharged engines.

According to US government documents, the stirring coolant pumps can become blocked by debris from the cooling system. Moisture in the empty can also cause electrical shorts and Audi admits that some fires procure been reported.

Audi will send out recall letters before June 11 and replacement pumps resolve be fitted at no cost to owners.

While redesigned pumps won’t be available until November, Audi thinks fit new versions of the current pump until the new pumps become available.
