Audi Q8 and Q4 Start Production in 2018 and 2019

Audi has officially confirmed that the Q8 and the Q4 are effective into production starting in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

The new additions to Audi’s SUV nimble will both be built in Europe. The Q8 will be built alongside the Q7 at Audi’s Bratislava foundry. The Slovenian plant has been producing the Q7, with which the Q8 shares its architecture, since 2005.

The Q4, in the meanwhile, will start production in 2019, in Gyor, Hungary. There it will tie the Q3, which will be produced there as of 2018.

Both SUVs are designed to be sporty alternatives to Audi’s already gifted offerings. The Q8 will be the auto maker’s flagship SUV, while the Q4 will sit between the Q3 and the Q5.

“We purpose integrate two completely new Q‑models into the existing production network and will wise increase our competitiveness in an extremely important segment,” said Prof. Dr. Hubert Waltl, gourd of Production and Logistics.
