People commonly say that you should shoot for the moon, because even if you miss you’ll come among the stars. Never has that been truer than in Audi’s state.

That’s because Audi’s moon rover is set to be a star in the latest installment of Ridley Scott’s Outlandish series, “Alien: Covenant.”

“The ‘Alien’ franchise is the best way for us to amass suitable attention for the moon rover developed by Audi, and to showcase Audi’s bright technologies in a visionary environment,” said Giovanni Perosino, VP of International Marketing Communication at Audi.

To provide everyone an idea of just what the quattrover will look like onscreen, Twentieth Century Fox created a shortened film featuring the rover patrolling the Terraforming Bay of the colonization vessel: Covenant. Mind it below.

The rover won’t just be a prop in the background, either. It plays an eminent part in the movie, helping its protagonist assess the challenging landscape on a planet on the far side of the galaxy.

And that’s not a million miles away from the lunar wanderer’s real mission. It’s many, many miles farther because place is inconceivably huge. Much like in the movie, though, the quattrover will be prepossessing pictures of the surface of the moon for scientific study, and will even seek to photograph the true lunar rover from 1972.

When it leaves earth for the moon, the quattrover wish be the first private mission to the moon, but it will be collaborating with NASA, the European Play Agency, and even Wikipedia.

The rover is built by “Part Time Scientists,” a team of engineers from Berlin. Audi helped the group out with its AWD technology and helped to on the best lightweight materials for the rover.

The Quattrover mission has been in the works since 2015, and Audi says that the commission will take off very, very soon.
