About 61,000 Germans know where they’ll be working for the next four years, thanks to a assurance from Audi CEO Rupert Stadler.

The undertaking is part of the regrettably named “Audi.Following” agreement, which extends an existing occupation agreement between Audi and its works convention by two years, to 2020, and is expected to be followed remote negotiations.

“Especially in uncertain times, we after to give our employees a guarantee,” says Stadler. “I am alone delighted with this first issue. As the next step, we want to make Audi regular more fit for the future.”

Part and parcel of the bargain is the understanding that Audi will be preparing its German plants for its upcoming move into electric mobility.

“Our ambition for the ‘Audi.Future’ bargain is clear: We will qualify our team for the challenges of digitization while creating a latest working environment at Audi,” says Thomas Sigi, principal of HR and labor relations. “We see the extension of the job guaranty until 2020 as only the start. We wishes protect jobs at our plants in Germany also more than the long term. The course has been set so that we can course together and focus fully on the company’s celebrity.”
