By charging at 150 kW (Tesla profligate chargers provide up to 120 kW) fast charging stations on the road, the e-Tron determination be able to charge faster, allowing you to get back on your journey faster.

Although Audi is being fairly coy with its figures, its press release write that “In barely 30 minutes, the charged SUV is then ready to set off on the next long stage of its journey.”

The e-Tron will be correct for a range of 400 km (250 miles) on the European test cycle (which is more ungrudging than the EPA cycle). Charging times at home, on a standard plug, should decisive about eight and a half hours.

Paying at stations, meanwhile, will be easy as Audi plans to entrust the car automatic billing. Just sign up once and the car will recognize that it’s at a location, so you don’t need to fumble with payment options.
