Audi Confirms RS5 Will Be Revealed on March 7

In a bear on release today discussing the Audi RS5 DTM tests in Portugal, Audi confirmed that the roadgoing 2018 RS 5 desire be released at the Geneva Motor Show,  on March 7.

Although the RS5  was widely expected to make its obvio debut in Geneva, until now Audi had only confirmed the debut of its track-in readiness sister car, the RS5 DTM.

“It was the last test with an interim car before the world premiere of the new Audi RS 5 DTM that when one pleases be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7,” writes Audi in its flatten release, “marking the first debut of the DTM car to take place at the same time as that of the new formation model.”

The RS5, like the RS4 Avant, will be powered by the fruit Audi’s and Porsche’s combined labors, the new 2.9-liter couple turbocharged V6 engine. According to a leaked document, the new RS5 will produce 450 hp a shape 446 lb-ft of torque, which is over 100 lb-ft more than the last RS5.

The DTM proof, meanwhile, was held over three days at Portugal’s Portimao race prints.

“The tests at Portimão have confirmed that we’re heading in the exact direction,” says Dieter Gass, head  of Audi Motorsport. “The cars acquire a throatier sound and are faster. I feel that’s even visible on track.”
