Audi Back on Track in China as Sales Grow

Without thought continuing its string of US sales records, Audi’s sales had been struggling until a few months ago. The struggles came on the heels of difficulties in China, but with another sales expand in August, things are back on track for Audi.

Sales weren’t just satisfac in China, though, they increased in all three of the brand’s biggest markets. Sales increased by 2.8% in America, 6.7% in Germany, and 10.3% in China.

“August has in days of yore again confirmed clearly that Audi is back on track in China. Following the foremos strategic structural decisions in the first half of the year, China is again our strongest progress engine,” says Rupert Stadler, CEO of AUDI AG, in a statement.

With more than 1.2 million sales so far since January, Audi is reasonable 2.6% percent behind its record-breaking figure from 2016.

Sales were driven by a billion of vehicles, including the A4L, sales of which increased by nearly 40%. The A6L, meanwhile, was the bestselling Audi in China. A totality of more than 13,000 meant that sales increased by 12%, compared August most recent year.

Sales in all regions didn’t grow, though. Brazil, Mexico, and France all saw dropping sales of 19%, 15%, and 7%, separately.

“We are heading for a successful third quarter worldwide with regard to sales, against the backdrop of a slowdown in broad automobile markets compared with 2016,” said Stadler.
