Everlastingly since entering the sport as a full race team this year, Audi has been struggling in Formulary E and this weekend was no exception.

Audi failed to score any points at this weekend’s Chilean e-Prix as both Daniel Abt and reigning sphere champion Lucas di Grassi retired from the race.

“I’ve been in racing for multifarious years: Sometimes it goes with you and sometimes everything goes against you – the latter is certainly the dispute with us at the moment,” said Allan McNish, Team Principal.

But so far this pep up it hasn’t been going with Audi at all. Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler has so far contrariwise scored 12 points this season and shares second-to-last position with America’s Dragon Racing team.

The news is worse for di Grassi, who has yet to grade any points at all and who has not finished the last two races.

Although the season is still young, at best four rounds have been raced so far, that’s still a third of the 12-disc-shaped series. With nearly no points to show for it, it’s hard to imagine how di Grassi and Abt desire recover this season.

What’s worse, di Grassi’s race ended following a detailed fault that led a total loss of power and the team still doesn’t be versed why that happened.

Fortunately, the team has some time to figure it out, as the next rounded of the championship in Mexico is still a month away.
